Camp Banting Brand Campaign

Overview

Camp Banting is a summer camp for Type 1 Diabetic children. After recently having split off from their parent company, the camp needed community support.

I created a fictional marketing campaign for Camp Banting with the goal of increasing awareness, and drive donations. I chose to primarily target community-oriented parents through social-media posts, a short motion ad, and printed posters.

Concept

Upon research into the brand and their target audience, I decided to focus on telling the uplifting Camp Banting story of people rising up to challenges. This idea would be reflected through the theme of an ‘ember rising to become a flame’. I developed a mood board which captured the theme with bold colours and a modern, yet gritty illustration style.

Illustrations

Initial sketches and storyboards were created in Photoshop. Equiped with client feedback, I moved on to creating vector iterations. The campaign went through multiple rounds of revisions and polishing before I arrived at the final product.

Animation

Animation started with a rough animatic which helped convey pacing to the client. I then approached the motion piece in passes, ultimately leading to smooth transitions and dynamic action.
